Hurricane hayley.

Who put that song on hold?
The air is empty
I've lost my train of thought.
I think i might need you,
To fill in the blank spaces.

The finest thing I've ever done,
The hurricane,
i can't outrun.

I don't think i can be more pissed.

So we were out for dinner the other day and i happened to notice a little something in the shop window i thought was blog worthy. I was so hopping mad i wanted to punch the giordano sales person who asked me if i needed any help (dude, sorry if i gave you the glare, it wasn't your fault!)

Perhaps a little intro.

To Write Love on Her Arms is a non-profit movement dedicated to presenting hope and finding help for people struggling with depression, addiction, self-injury and suicide. TWLOHA exists to encourage, inform, inspire and also to invest directly into treatment and recovery.Their vision is hope, and that hope is real.

As a non-profit organization, TWLOHA finds ways to support itself globally to a) the endorsement of several well-known bands such as Switchfoot, Anberlin and Paramore, and b) through the sale of merchandise, also for advertisment's sake. Thus, the sale of these very very cool tee-shirts, which have been around for ages.

So obviously, i was shocked to come upon THIS in an establishment called giordano.

Seriously, what?! What sort of design plagiarist scandal is this?! And the worst thing is that they were selling like hotcakes. Had a bit of a nervy spaz when i saw it and texted half a dozen people, AND ranted to mom for one whole hour. I think Liz ran to the nearest giordano outlet and asked had quite an interview with the manager (if i was as brave as her i would have punched the salesperson, who actually had the NERVE to tell me no photography was allowed.) and is currently writing an email to the Twloha to tell them about this. What is coming to the world!!

_____________________________________end rant.

So besides saving the online tee-shirt store sales a day at a time, school has been well, pretty tiring. As usual. Laughs and hoots never stop though! Mdm Wee has offically been added on to the 'Teachers who hate Stacy and Amethyst' list, alongside Mrs Sng, Ms Yoong and Mdm Tan(who almost sent amy to detention, btw.). Whooo so short a time and i've already managed to get into teacher's bad books!

We had a small class drama over the sitting arrangement HAHA. Especially since people were being especially mean and didnt want to sit next to the 'smiling circus operator'. Well i'm glad about our arrangement now:D Although in our teeny weeny classroom where we're all squished like sardines in a tin can, it's like you're sitting next to everybody. I totally saved Yi wen's ass! She owes me a hundred lemon-icing muffins!

Me and amanda made a list of Hot Guys who never made it in movies. But that is to be continued.

Friday had everyone chanting 'TGIF, TGIF, TGIF...', with such intensity as if another minute of the boring math class would give them rectal cancer. I swear my eyeballs were about to fall out of their sockets and roll across the floor. But yay, the weekend!

A small hiking trip at hortpark the other day, which ended at vivo city's starbucks. Alex and I ran through the vivo waterfountain, which was strangely fun and very very wet. I feel rather bad for having so much fun while the others are dying at CJC's History Night. Hilarious!

Went up a mountain a teeny hill.
There were like monkeys hanging off the rails and it was a pretty high drop down to nowhere.

Mark: I dare you to push that monkey off the ledge.
Jenny jennifer and nick came back today and things have gotten a lot more alive :D now don't let your head get big people! I'm still waiting for those souveniers. Although mel is sick as a dog and feels like death. get well soon!!

Here's to another week of endless days! See you you in a bit muchos.

Champagne's fo celebrating (I'll have a martini)

He's electric,
and its breaking ground,
beneath my feat,
just so he can catch me
when i fall,
Oh his touch i can't deny.

Ola all!
Holidays were pretty swell :D first few days were downright boring (although i did catch up with a bit of that claudia and lizzie madness.) and then we had that gig on thursday and some amazing race shizz on friday.

So Mosiac Music Festival has come to an end, but i can say that this is pretty much the snazziest one yet! With the plus factor that i had a ton of free tickets and a fantastic gig schedule. Although there were many bands that i wish i could have caught (Indigo girls, cinematic orchestra, battles, the oh-so-contreversial Of Montreal... the list goes on.) but the ones i went to were brills, so i guess that covers up. Here's to the next one guys! maybe we'll be earning money next time too :D

Some pictures from the race on friday.

that's meylis making sure the bratty kids don't mess up with our hung letters for the game.

TA-DAAAH! (btw, bishan park has a wikkid playground. with a massive rotating disc that i went on, fell on my face and had sand in me knickers for the whole day)

And then there was this whole dramatic story when me and mel were manning some station and no one seemed to be coming, so we left the materials and nipped to Cheers to get some choww. And then when we got back, some of the puzzle pieces were gone O_o

very dramatic. and hilarious.

And then the fish spa. which was hilarious. eleanore and alex were shrieking like banshees half-the-time. Ainsley's feet were MADE out of fish. it was grosss and i was convinced the fish were going to chew my toes off. Enough videos of me spazzing away on facebook, thankyouverymuch!

Sleptover at GM and its just a vicious cycle of waaay too much mcdonalds and bad movies. We watched Wanted and there was this humping explicit scene and so we had to switch movies. Hee. Some moron split a coke and dropped greasy fries all over the carpet. And we slept at five.

AND THEN IT BACK TO COLLEGE!!!!

I miss the people but not the work. The timetable basically still sucks(infact, it is as sucky as sucky gets.) and i end at freaaking five everyday, plus the six-hour lesson stints. I mean seriously, is that even legal?! I do not want to die from a cardiac arrest due to an overdose of sigma notation questions.

Amethyst almost got sent to detention which was hilarious cause she actually wanted to go for it. And jake asked me this;

Jake: Hey ya know that show on discovery channel?
Me: What show?
Jake: Jon & kate plus eight?
Me: Oh yeah! I love that show.
Jake: Yeaahh. But i got a question... what are the name of the parents again??

Yes i knoww. For an eight-pointer, he can get pretty dumb.

There's been a hell lot of gossip about the two class weirdos. I have the worst luck in the world, being stuck with the first one in PW group (kill me. kill me now) and stuck having history break with the other one. Srsly, do you HAVE to smile like a retarded circus operator all the time when i'm eating my food? GAH!

We played basketball and it was awesome shizz. May started calling me staceball(a spinoff from stacecake) and now everyone's calling me that. Fantastic! i stomped on amos' toe by accident and it started bleeding so i had to buy him a drink. Sorry cookie boy!

Information overload. see ya'll soon!
A paramore song a day keeps the doctor away :)

mandy goes to med school

He's my drug,
don't you think he'll get it by now?
Pills don't do good enough,
I'm done with all that sniffing,
Let's get that loving going,
Going strong.

Today i stared at something for five minutes and then realised it was my hand.

Also, i let Ellyn put a post-it in my hair, forgot all about it, and walked out of the house.

Anyway, enough about my many flaws and stupidities. Basically spent the whole day with gran and being a good grand daughter. Gran's a lot better now :D although she sometimes forgets what year it is (it goes as far back as 1949) and calls me my sister's name.

The. Cardigans. are. awesome.
And so is mike stern (lizzeh he said that i was beautiful!!!)

Tomorrow is a full day so goodnight all you suckers.

Claire's Closet.

BECAUSE SARAH SAID SHE CHOSE TEAM FREDDIE OVER TEAM COOK.

This may sound totally bizarre, but effy's dress is some pretty hot shizz.

And lastly, something really cute.

AWWWWWWWW.

******************************************end of freddie rant.

I was with Caleb a couple days ago at orchard and we heard a couple of lians talking about Skins AND madina lake. not a good sign at all.

I'm also becoming rapidly influenced into becoming a huge Kings of Leons fan by Princess J, dang they are pretty good. I'd love to say that they are extraordinarily good-looking, but not in the least bit.

See ya in a bit.

If you've got the poison, then i've got the remedy

I thought i had heard something,
Something ring,
Someone else's heartsong,
and it led me to you.

Turn off all the lights,
Because the melody,
Well its pretty infectious,
Dance with me,
Tonight we belong in harmony.

Holidays are here! A cause for celebration? A well-deserved break from the hype of JC life perhaps (well not for odac-ers because they are climbing four mountains in three days...?!) but its just another week to catch up on studies.

We've been playing so hard (two phonecalls in a week?!) that i think i flunked CA tests. Amethyst and I got into a hell lot of trouble for the most ridiculous things too. But as Amanda would put it, 'We make better mistakes tomorrow!'. How vair funky.

I love it how during lectures when there's so much noise and then suddenly everything quietens down and a single voice is heard saying something hilarious. Like during Literature.

Sim lin looks she's about to spit at me.

Amos = class labourer. and voluntarily!!

AWWW LIZZIE FO FIZZIE SO CUTE!!

Tiara doesnt know where to look at.

Anyway.

JAZZ WEEK!!

Awesome time this week. Besides 'gigging' out with the band as ms kang would call it, the concerts were fantastic. Although on friday Nick and I had to sneak into the Mike stern & dave weckl, since they had a free bar. So plan >>> I had to pretend to uncle richard's hooker and call him 'sugar daddy' and aunt lisa made nick her toyboy! Well i was used to their usual antics, but nick was like 'OMG' in his expressionless way, if you get what i mean. So anyway i guess that ruse kinda worked because they never stopped us and we watched a wicked concert.

Yesterday i had to go get guitar strings for my ovation since dad snapped the strings while attempting to play 'House of the rising Sun', so rushed like crazy before performance to get it. I asked whether i could restring my guitar at yamaha and they said ok, so i sat on the chair and started to restring it. And about seven-eight people came up to me and asked whether i could show them the range of keyboards/if i could plug in the amps for them/how do chromatic tuners work. Thank god for the kindly yamaha guy who rescued me from the constant interruptions later on.

Dinner with ms kang was brills! We had a real blast :DDD patricia is such a gossip mama its shocking!! lol.

SKINS THIS WEEK WAS FLIPPING AWESOME.

196 people 'hearted' this picture on the photosite. Freddie you are smoking hot.

Have a happy holidays everyone! I hate being left alone in singapore when everyone's overseas. BAH. We deal with what we have!

Cheerio.

The '59 Sound

Seconds astray,
Something must be done
about those clocks.

Mesmerize me with your numbers,
because there is always a better time,
a better place for this to happen,
something should be done
about those clocks.

Time is wasting away,
Realize that i am here.
If not now,
then when?
Kill me with your answer,
leave the masses breathless.

Hola!

Plagued by everyone to update for the photos and what not. Alright so a heck lotsa things has happened. I can barely remember, hot damn. Major photospam to jog the memory a little bit!

This was from parents-teachers-conference a couple of weeks back when we ordered macdonalds and i became the mother/maid who had to order and collect food for everyone cause they were too darn useless.

of course, jac was only good for shouting 'act normal act normal!' whenever the teacher came by [technically we're not allowed to eat anywhere outside the canteen. how typical-catholic-school]
while a threw some random person's blouse over the entire cache of deep fried goodies.

catholic junior college. what else can i say?

I have no idea.

And this was CJC CROSS-COUNTRY 2009. i guess it was a pre-2.4-km run thing to make us 'revved up' and be all enthusiastic. Well i tried my best, but turns out a lost my competitive runner tag and ended up running the leisure route of 3.4km with a bunch of nutscases.

I can't even remember this dudes name.

One of the highlights was when we were in one of the 'forest-y' parts and this monkey lept down from a tree, next to the group of girls in front of us. Needless to say, this resulted in high-pitched screams and havoc ensued for a long while. Infact, while most of thought the monkey wanted to scratch our eyes out, it merely snatched away the plastic water bottle the girl was holding and ran away.

And wait, that wasn't even the best part.

Another girl behind us said 'Maybe the monkey wanted it to build it's nest.'

Wow. i mean, wow.

JASON MRAZ CONCERT

wicked. mind-blowing!
One of the best live shows I've ever had the opportunity to witness. The music was awesome, the company was great, and MRAZ. Omg. He was hotttt. I swear i could lick the sweat off him[no i'm just kidding, i wouldn't lick the sweat off anybody for a million dollars.]

The 150dollars was worth it. I kinda regret getting the overpriced merch that i am never going to wear because of its massive sizes, tho. D:

EVERYONE NEEDS A HAT WHEN MRAZ IS IN TOWN!

Anyway, we began to finalise our jump-over-bouncers-and-run-to-stage-front-plan when Cheryl came! We hovered around near the exit area. The view was pretty good, really. THeatre was packed by eight, full-house! Living proof that Singapore's listening to slightly better music.

When the band came out, the applause was overwhelming. But that was the extent off it! The crowd was like the crappiest ever. made out of middle-aged fogies and indie posers. That aside, security was bitch to get past. Randi barely had time to whip out her huge-ass camera and fully utilize her excellent photo-taking skills before the lady bouncer threatened to take the camera away. One guy behind said 'Someone's gotta get that pole out of her arse'. Which was crude, but a bit true.

Anyway. The gig was brilliant. Best was when mraz sang The Remedy/Wonderwall remix and did an opera part in Mr curiosity.

Kudos to the awesome jazz trio! sexy saxophone.

The final line-up. Some pictures credits to randi and clare!

Yes so that's all worth mentioning so far. It's going to be a hectic week because of all the concerts and the mini-gig we're playing at, PLUS all the CA tests. See you guys soon (hopefully!!)
