But what a waste it would have been

If you'll be my star,
I'll be your sky
You can hide underneath me
and come out at night

When I turn jet-black,
you show off your light,
I live to let you shine.
I live to let you shine.

And you can skyrocket away from me,
and never come back if you
find another galaxy far from here,
with more room to fly,
Just leave me some stardust to remember you by

Back from our backpacking shopping trip from KL. No naggy parents, about half a grand in my pocket, and late-nights in hotel rooms. That's enough said :)

Had a lovely time taking all those lovely polaroids, which I will share with lovely people as soon as I find out how to use the scanner.

Lately I've been trying to soak up all the good music there is, probably due the beckoning 'hells-bells' of college life that will toll in a few days. The Scene Aesthetic and Manchester Orchestra are really such excellent listens! Such a great way to usher in the new year.

So.

2010, here we come.

two more years till the end of the world

wait a minute. OH HELL YES.

How could I forget? 2010 is going to be the best year yet.

I confess, when I started to get all these fb invites and paramore@SG updates, I was doubtful. And then came the most reliable sources, Rin & Justin. Cue, uncontrollable laughter and hyperventilation.

There are no words to describe how long I've been waiting for this. I recall once saying this to Jannabanana, 'After God, I love Paramore the most.' Of course, now that seems just plain blasphemous, but do remember that I was a young and immature two years ago

But no kidding. I AM STOKED ABOVE ALL THE STOKED PEOPLE IN THE HISTORY OF STOKE-ALITY. Brand New Eyes has got to be one of the best albums of the 2009 (Yes, I have a list) Finally, Emi and I get to go to the concert of our dreams :D

Plus, we get to see Blonde Hayley. Cause everybody loves Blonde Hayley, no?

Not forgetting, two very expensive tickets for next year as well.

Imogen Heap and Cat Power completes 2010's rollicking good music fests. So it doesn't really matter we missed out of Yeah Yeah Yeah tickets, or the fact that Green Day's sold out (both literally and figuratively)

For now, I'm walking on sunshine.

Once and fer' all, night guys!

Dear Time Traveller,

Sad, sad so we are together,
now if you'll please be satisfied with me

8:30 on the tick-tock counter,
black suit in the morning rush hour,
So what,
So what he says to her,
you never believed in us,
Lovers will be the same always.

(but for now we are young let us lay in the sun and count every beautiful thing we can see)

Photos are always the best way to conclude a massive hurdle! Christmas '09.

These are the probably, the best pictures of the year.

my aussome parents where I get my aussome genes from.

And you can see the aussome bloodline here (oh snap. One more 'aussome' in this post and I have officially evolved into a female-asian-barnabus-stinson.)

Being in a new and aussome fantabulous school this year has only resulted into a lengthening of the already-lengthy Christmas Card List.

Thus, if anyone finds their cards filled with illegible scrawl, the rough message is simply MERRY CHRISTMAS I love you and don't forget to leave the milk and cookies out this year if you want your presents :)

It has become, a ritual.

And in return, thanks to Max, Kai, Clare & Nick (even though yours disappeared somewhere) for the wicked cards.

I know there's this whole 'giving is better than receiving', but seriously, who are we kidding. EVERYBODY loves to get something, no matter how unnecessary it may be. So thank you everyone for the clothes, books, accesories, bags & money (this one is mostly for the parental units Doesn't it scream of the good ol' days? Mark-o gets a massive 'A' for effort in decorating Mr. Gingerbread man :)

I swore I would never eat it but it looked so scrumbolicious, I settled for taking lots of photos of it, and then polishing it off.

Thus ends the Christmas season, but that doesn't mean the fun has to end.

Tomorrow I'm off for the TRUE seasonal holiday! KL with friends a.k.a the best lot of people there is. The six-hour drive will be a good time to catch up some good music (hello, Noah & The Whale. and listening to some of the Crooked Vultures never hurt nobody) and watch Glee! again.

Because no one ever gets sick of listening to Lea Michele belt out 'Don't Rain on My Parade' in true-blue showchoir fashion.

Goodnight everyone, and have a good one.

Into the Garden

I capture life with a snapshot,
and hold your breath a still.

I'll knit the skies into the lace,
but I'm afraid,
These mildewed dresses won't hold
out much longer.
The stars are fading
and daylight is coming
Another night spent wasted.

Maybe you're not
worth the wait
afterall.

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE! cause anyone who detests Christmas, is absolutely PEAnuts.

So lotsa things have been happening that has prevented me from the following photo update. Namely, mundane days at work (wherein the highlight of the day is debating on what to eat for lunch), musical practices, intense LAN sessions with an assortment of friends and the preparation for Christmas itself. But enough chatter. Here's the past two weeks in a blogpost.

The Big-ol' 17th

Hardrock Cafe: Cake-face smashing and little american tartlets shaking booty on stage.

Death by cream.

Mel hitting the [horrors of horrors!] twenties!

Present-shopping at taka. Chivalrous Nick and book debates!

And dinner's at Foo's later. Food was aussome, as per usual.

Christmas Musical

Four words: So. Glad. Its. Over.

Today (well, technically yesterday), all the rehearsals and recordings and briefings finally paid off. The NLCC musical was smashing! Pictures will be up on facebook soon :)

Some mother-and-daughter love here! The four BFFs! + Lam

All in all, its been rather crazy and I'm sorry for the hurried post, but its 3am right now and I'm running low on brain juice. More christmas updates tomorrow! See you guys soon :)

Of all the gin joints in the world

Sometimes, all I ever want to do is drink juice out of the carton.
