My Huckleberry friend

'Most people think of Audrey Hepburn as regal.
I like to think of her as spunky.'
Gregory Peck

Well said, Mr Atticus.

Be prepared for an Audrey Hepburn tribute guys. I think she pretty much deserves it :)

Take a vacation!

They were the runaway boys,
They were a legacy,
for running away,
no less,
a legacy

For being free

I miss summer.

It took a while, but settling back into school happened sometime this week. Between rushed trips with china girl, mother theresa and the moose to island creamery (for free ice cream!) or to TP's macs for spicy nuggets, to making fun of a certain teacher's bump-on-her-head, life's got some colour.

And also, the friends :)

You are of 5-cent lemonade stands

Two kids in Love (in a lake of ice-cream)

Sunny days don't get any better
We'll lie in the backyard and drink lemonade from the jug,
five-cent lemonade from the jug
Reveling in unsophisticated
behaviour
Oh, so lovely

These days don't get any better
You painted my front lawn with the colours of your eyes,
too many colours in your eyes
Well, like it matters
I've always liked the mess
we made of things

I think it's safe to say,
We're safe from boredom forever
I know it's unconventional
But this labyrinth it's too lovely
to throw away
What a waste it would have been
to throw it away

Sunny days don't get any better,
If the heat gets up, honey,
let's have a dip
in that lake of ice-cream
Reveling in a lake of ice-cream
Dream,
You and I.

21st July

Cheers to lemon slice eyes, scribbling in leather bound notebooks and of course, reveling in unsophisticated behaviour :)

I've been watching too many Audrey Hepburn movies these days, and am halfway through My Fair Lady (linguistics research, is my excuse!) There's something magical about Audrey's acting that can make a bad day turn marvelous, in a couple of hours.

Have yet to start revision for prelims! So I suppose watching movies or reading Margaret Atwood novels can wait for a couple of months. Or can they?

Goodnight everyone :)

I figured, you can never have enough of one-calorie breath mints

You're a part time lover and a full time friend
The monkey on you're back is the latest trend
I don't see what anyone can see, in anyone else
But you

Here is the church and here is the steeple
We sure are cute for two ugly people
I don't see what anyone can see, in anyone else
But you

We both have shiny happy fits of rage
You want more fans, I want more stage
I don't see what anyone can see, in anyone else
But you

You are always trying to keep it real
I'm in love with how you feel
I don't see what anyone can see, in anyone else
But you

I kiss you on the brain in the shadow of a train
I kiss you all starry eyed, my body's swinging from side to side
I don't see what anyone can see, in anyone else
But you

The pebbles forgive me, the trees forgive me
So why can't, you forgive me?
I don't see what anyone can see, in anyone else
But you

Du du du du du du dudu
Du du du du du du dudu
I don't see what anyone can see, in anyone else…
But you

Now that I have seen, I am responsible

Seven days of pure fun. Learning awesome things (both technically and spiritually). Hanging out with a bunch of pretty kickass people, both the young and the old(not so much!). It was pretty much a journey, and a taste of what life would be like if I do indeed study at Hillsong. Which would be wicked ('cept maybe we would have a lot more sleep and have dinner at 7pm instead of 11 and go to way more beaches and take loads more photos)

So thanks to big momma and big pop, uncle wilson and aunty ju, Aunty Yu ming or the honourary member of fun patrol, nick, luki, che ains and of course, Jen, by excellent co-host of the award-winning/multi radio station playing/highly-entertaining Jen&Stacy show!

Brief?

Well, some things you can't put into words :)

love like a sunset

Acres
Visible horizon
Right where it starts and ends
When did we start and end?

Acres
Visible illusion
where it starts it ends
Love like a sunset.

I know I've got a ton of things to blog about... including SYDNEY HILLSONG CONFERENCE 2010 :)))) Life for the past couple of weeks have been a jumble of book fairs, old records, knick-knacks and humphrey bogart movies.

My lovely new cup. I swear I will drink from no other.

I watched this movie a couple of days ago and it was pure magic. William Holden is hilarious, and audrey of course, was sensational.

Coming back to Singapore has been bizarre, depressing, but strangely, feels a lot like settling back into a comfortable nook.

Sydney in the next post :)

Such a small kid at the big kid table

I think I may be spending too much money on toy cameras, film, and accessories!

Will be flying off to sydney in a little less than a day. The feeling of having no more exams and skiving off school for a week and having a great time at the hillsong conference is just fantastic! Days of music classes, awesome food and wearing beanies/scarves/boots/trenchies :) Of course, not forgetting why we're all truely going there: to get to know God on a more personal level.

So long, Singapore and it's highly erratic weather.

Hanging out with friends these couple of days have been too much fun. See you @jam, faith!
