20 THINGS I'LL MISS ABOUND BAND
1. Playing the awesome music.
2. Crapping around with marilyn, doing weird pullover tricks, screaming like loons, racing across the hall, etc etc.
3. Getting scolded by sharon for no apparent reason except that she has[or had,] the license to do so. Now its shanna, but she basically scolds the whole band, no biasness there.
4. Playing the Great Escape on the orange premier drumset.
5. Our horribly lame bonding sessions that end in bouts of screaming.
6. Entering a room with an assortment of noises, of melodies and rhythms. And finding it exactly like home.
7. Hugging Afiqah and hearing her say 'Stacy, i know its you. Now stop trying to ruin my makeup larhzz!'
8. Being called Queen Stacy, even if it was for a short while.
9. All the candy we get from ms ponni, etc etc.
10. The terribly retarded and adorable sec 2s, especially Rin, who helps me through tough times and makes me laugh loads. of course, Cherry[i have the knack for nicknames], the Annoyance, Sally[shuxin], Jamie, Aveline the Stare, Shi yi Whose Hair I Ruffle and the rest of it.
11. Hearing mr Juraimi call natasha 'NAS', and then bombarding him with incalculable hints on the correct pronounciation.
12. Complaining about the the long CCA hours, and the endless shifting of instruments.
13. thinking up of weird NERD names with mary soh.
14. Bubble tea partays, created by yours truly.
15. Teasing the sec threes on how crappy they were to me when i first joined band. Brings back memories, does it not?
16. I'LL EVEN MISS MR J, wow i am becoming very very mature. He is a nice dude, in some ways.
17. I'll miss the old rickety piano with sticky keys that we'll play on. And it being the official 'seniors' corner for a year.
18. Samba. No matter how 'boring' it may seem to outsiders, every new player presents a different sound, changing through the years. its still so fun to play XD
19. The awesome surge, the feeling inside when you've mastered a song, or a difficult string of notes. When you did a perfect drum frill, when you've struck the correct key.
20. Everything. The people, the joy, the laughs.
20 things i'll miss about S.O.S
1. The busrides there and back. There spent with stuffing our faces with jellybeans and chocolate wafers, back rides spent slumped into seats[with mary more or less on my lap. sheesh.]
2. Room nine. So funkay. We should totally live together, it'll be HAVOC but who cares?
3. Singing 'Goodbye Mr A' with mary.
4. Hell, i'll even miss the fainting dancers. At least they provided a bit of comic relief.
5. Snapping unglam pictures of everyone, especially Stephanie and Patricia[AHHAAA.]
6. Thinking up of ways to make a jibe at Renee's aneroxic ways[sorry!]
7. Trapezing down the spiralled staircase in search for lost phones/cameras[don't ask.] and having like the entire group of dancers and student leaders help me as well. Thanks so much :D unlike the huge ManTou, who just managed to sit in the VT chair and complain that students are oh-so-careless these days.
8. Fretting about my slicked fringe, which looked a bit like Peter Parker's when he turned bad. As pointed out by a huffy renee[the skinny jokes!]
9. Wearing pullovers and not getting poked fun at of my 'coldness' by an assortment of people.
10. The absolutely hilarious indian dancers. Loved hanging out with Chewy and MAY-co[lol.], they were darn funny. The new friends made, in general.
11. Oh, taking dance lessons from patti and the rest. This involved alot of falling down and frustrated joints. I was not born to dance.
12. Singing Check yes Juliet and Ultraviolet at the top of our lungs outside dressing rooom 5.
13. Making fun of the caterpillar costumes.
14. Chronicling the events which led to Pat's tampon incident.
15. Shopping for cakes and files and what not for the dancers/pm with shanna.
16. Sleeping at two am in the morning and waking up at seven.
17. Scrubbing my blouse frantically and iron-dry at early dawn in fear that i will have nothing to wear that night.
18. Making 'Cool Room' signs and sticking it outside room nine's door. You are what you are, you know.
19. Playing the drumset for dhoom. So stressful, but so fun at the same time.
20. Performing, i'll miss that the most. Its anxiety, its breakdown, its seemingly-perfect ways.
Ah drats.
CONCENTRATE ON O'S.
oh yesterday baking at renee's. It was uber fun, i swear caithlin has the best sense of humour i've seen so far on a sec two girl. Renee would do very well to learn from her sister's humourisity and laugh-out-loudness. Guy outside aquarius who likes her, Renee is currently AVAILABLE!!!!
me and clare are very bad people and will spend the rest of our days burning in hell.
