Wait dear, a white horse is walking down my street here,
Your words are creeping at my feet
I fear, sunrise will come too soon and you'll disappear
Into the haze of this city and go south...

Look out, they're coming after us with big guns,
They're only gonna tell you all the bad things I've done
Even if they words they say aren't true they've won,
Now I'm left here dying in the sun

Oh, seems like I'm always on my own,
Seems like I'm never coming home
Seems like I'm always on my own...
All the stars and boulevards are not close enough for you.

Band dinner.
Weekends just go by too fast. Fast froward from an exhausted friday evening to the monday blues. Thankfully, Sunday was enough fun to remember XD

Sharon, missing band a great deal, came up with the brilliant idea of having band dinner at the most crowded western restaurant in singapore. Oh and that wasn't the brilliance of it, people. It was the fact that she volunteered the sec fours[not that there were many of us present anyway] to meet at five thirty and queue up for the masses. So after meeting nat sharon and Mary, we stood by the roadside and breathed in truck exhaust and secondhand smoke from the ah lians in front of us for an hour. Its not like Astons is the most strategically located restaurant of all time.

No matter.

Dinner was alright with a few laughs and the Sonya's awesome polariod. Forgive me, but i do so love the bone-tingling anticipation of waiting for a polariod to clear and see it emerge from the slot. And then over to katong mall for awfully chocolate. I believe the awfully chocolate people regreted serving us four scoops of rather overpriced ice-cream and having to endure the ruckus created outside their zen-concept shop. i fully put the blame on sonya and her spastic movements, that we almost got thrown out of katong mall.

Give it to me, baby!!

Stop being such an auntie luh...

And then there's always the loner in the corner.

polariod. polariod. polariod.

I heard the camera is only eighty dollars, but its four dollars for each polariod sheet. Burning more holes than one in my pocket, yes.

Whoots.

Tuesday was the exciting part though. Endured the full day of lessons and what not before piling into the hall to catch the nokia concert! Contrary to what many might think, Local music is actually pretty darn awesome. Finally, something actually interesting to listen to besides the odd 'electric company' and parking lot pimp. Besides Saw Loser, who pretty much soared to half-stardom in places like taiwan and japan[where the music scene isnt as insular as this 'pi-sai' island] and forgot us fans, there wasnt much of the alternativevibe from the local bands. Of course, SG idol, introduced by AI wannabe-producers, didnt do much to help our budding local scene. After the overdone hype on pop queens and emo fanboys, where does that leave us? Pretty much nowhere i would think.

Until the firefight and WGB came along and saved us from the attack of soppy chinese superbands and single-chorded malay songs!

Hallelujah.

First up was WGB. Heard of them but never seen a live show, so was pretty much doubtful on what they could bring to the stage. Flat out awesome.

However, i do think people who insist on wearing their wool jackets with the hoods on while sweating profusely like a pig aren't exactly wise. Or original. Remember, its tropical singapore, not Nashville.
Love the saosin shirt. and yes he's the hot lead of WGB.

Please. Sing your heart out!

The firefight was out next! i suppose they didnt put on such a great first impression on the account of having a rather slow start.

Until the lead started to spazz like hell.

Love it when they do that.
However i do find it hella irritating when people think the way to enjoy a rock concert is to start banging into people and attempt to create a mosh pit for their freaking fat selves. Why does whirling around like a idiot help anyone, lest yourself? Damn these are the kind of people who ruin the image of concerts and can't appreciate music for what it really is.
'chi wo the duan ku!' eat my shorts.

Be jealous now.

Awesome vocals.
WHat an embarrasing encounter with cherry and jamie on the nokia bus.

Mel and Kel at airport starbucks. to study and get durnk on caffeine.

Wrought in deep thinking.

For six dollars a mug, hot chocolate sure runs out fast.

A guy should never be caught reading SEVENTEEN!

Spent the whole afternoon trying to hide my face and the rather self-proclaiming school uniform from two modern dancers sitting across the starbucks cafe. And spying on weird old ladies who talks to the sofa cushions at SBs!

Mel was quite under the weather, the full package of eyebags and all, from starting studying at noon. Obviously, business courses are not up my alley. No offence, but it looks utterly boring. Perhaps something with a little more flavour and alot less numbers would be more appropriate.
Took the train back and the bus.

Studying with mel helps because she makes me laugh.

Goodnight all.
