Arizona!

Sweet summer's gone all too soon,
and my heart's losing itself to sleep
Today he's gone to seed.

Losing touch with the hurricane streets,
our souls gone to slumber.
I try to move forward,
but he kisses me,
How brilliant it is when he kisses me.
and that's enough said,
It's enough a story told.

I ABHOR MRS SNG.
menopausal old hag. And with good reason too.

Today during linguistics, she took out all our assignments and started tossing about insults about how amateur we are and how we should just drop out of linguistics and go poly etc etc all the shite we are already used to hearing. Then suddenly she threw down KW's paper and hurled more insensitive things about him and how useless he is. I kid you not. She actually said the piece of work was rubbish and that he should get out of her linguistics class and showed the whole class the big fat 'E' she slashed across it.

Tell me, how do you enjoy a subject when you hate the one who's supposed to guide you to a distinction? I swear you could hear whispers of 'Bitch!' echoing throughout the class throughout the entire lesson. But obviously she was oblivious to it because all she ever hears is the sound of her own voice, telling us how intelligent she really is and how we are just mere footnotes at the corner of her bum. Had to hold Jullian down because he was about to give mrs sng a real ass-whipping.

Screw you, we're gonna ace linguistics, mrs sng.

I think i actually miss mr poh. Good heavens.

*****************end rant.

Was almost late for school today! Stupid git of a bus driver obviously saw me running after his 154 bus like a loony and couldnt wait five more seconds. Didn't help that all the working people/students were staring, all bug-eyed.

So for my first editorial assignment, i have to write a piece about the PRC scholars conference currently being held in CJC. In other words = TALKING AND INTERVIEWING AND TRANSLATING IN CHINESE. Cow's bum.

Today we also celebrated Oliver's birthday. YES. okay. Dayna was stupid enough to heap up whipped cream on the cake, which melted by the time Oliver got there. I was also stupid enough to put too much whipped cream in my mouth and then spit it all out on the floor + an unfortunate few. Hilariousity. Than oliver wanted to play us a song on the piano and we were like o_O, but since its his birthday, we oblidged and heard him play the 'Maple Leaf' song for about 84875628years before he stopped and we all ran to class.

Got drenched in the rain today. It was fun. I slipped a bit at the bustop, but i'm hoping nobody saw that.

Adam lambert is hot hot shizzle! Who has very good skin, i noticed. Tiara loves him too! YAY! go lambert fans!

Goodnight all :D

You lied for two whole years. How do you think we feel?

Her dress whispers 'reckless'

Sheets.
sheets of paper,
music and words,
oh these lovely words,
You know me more
than i know myself.

Lost.
Lost in this magic,
sparks and rhymes,
Today i read you
in my eyes.

_______________________________

Too many hilarious things are happening these days, but because there's simply no time to put it down in words, i simply forget it all! Tragedy tragedy. Must post more in future.

So anyway, since i end at five o clock nearly everyday, there's barely time for rest. At all! Every spare moment is spent rifling through the literature text, pain-stakingly looking out for signs of imagery and hidden meanings. Since everyone in my class has taken lit before, its a real struggle to catch up with those with prior experience. But Lit classes have been most enjoyable so far (also due to the the fact that my lit tutor looks a bit like a platypus provides all the more entertainment.) and i'll make sure to excell :D

Linguistics lessons would also be fun if we weren't thought by the single most anal woman in the history of the world. Who by the way has also vair hairy armpits and wears those impossibly baggy tent-like-blouses. Not a wise choice. Besides all the unnecessary armpit-flashing, she yells at us for half an hour and in the worst english. I swear i almost choked on my own tongue when she called Amethyst 'Artemis' and Amos 'Anus'. Sheesh man!

Oh and today KW had to prod me with a ruler when i fell asleep in the library. So about ten minutes later we were rushing upstairs and proclaimed late for GP once again. LOL! i'm so sorry, but i'm extremely hard to wake up. Thank goodness he was pretty nice about it, but i don't think he'll let me sleep no more.

5am tmr, so here's to an early night! see you guys soon.

Pictures from sam's farewell.

P.S. i got into editorial AND music ministry! praise the lord. And i also wish that annoying guy would quit calling me and asking me to come for saturday practices.

Shiver.

Petrified! (hint, look at josh.)

Second week of COLLEGE and the studying has already begun. *chorus moaning.

Every math lesson, me and may are groaning away about partial fractions, and what on earth we were thinking when we took up h2 math. Has amath lessons not been a sufficient measure of how well i do in math?!?

Its ironic that my first year in a mixed school, and the valentine's day gifts haul has taken a downturn. Valentine's day was always a 'larger than life' event in SAC, and it was a common sight to see SACians carrying towers of drooping flowers, chocolate and assorted boxes on the 14th of febuary. Something else i miss about Vday in secondary school!

In a quick turn of events (and rather last minute decisions), I'm now running the competitive cross-country race with the nuttiest bunch in class! We were rooting for a good PE teacher that isn't a slave driver like that Issac dude/ODAC instructor and in the end we got this middle-aged woman who didn't seem all too bad :) HALLELUJAH. God works in mysterious ways, especially for the not-so-fit.

This monday we had the Parents-teachers Meeting which was in actual fact just a one-and-a-half-hour conference where parents slept to the sounds of Brother Paul droning away. Had a bit of a hilarious moment with Clare, Jacinta and Sheral and the mcdonalds meal! Dad & Mom eventually turned up at 7:50 and we rushed to the Performing Arts Centre for the conference in a hurry.

Five reasons why dad should not be allowed to conferences like this.

1) Kept standing up/sitting down/laughing like a horse at the wrong parts.

2) Because he exclaimed 'Eh, got snacks or not ah??' in the middle of the parent volunteer speech and made everyone look at us.

3) Kept making mom laugh with his inappropriate comments about brother paul the teaching faculty in general, while they should in actual fact be listening to the intriguing college report of 09, as it concerns my future. But no, playing childish games with each other is much, much important.

4) Kicked the parent in front of him (and in the HEAD, mind you), due to his abnormally long legs and constant fidgeting

5) Because he was insistent on going up to my principal to shake his hand and call him 'YO BRUDD-ER.'

Also, i think my linguistics teacher a.k.a Science Lab Aunty Lookalike saw me reading a borrowed seventeen magazine during the conference. Ah helll.

I HAVE THE SUCKIEST TIMETABLE IN THE HISTORY OF THE WORLD. srsly. Five everyday?! That's a twelve hour school day of torture.

There are all these good movies i'm missing because of the lack of time.

More work to do. See ya'll soon!

I need some fine wine, and you, you need to be nicer.

He reads at the gardener's gate,
where everything grows,
but no one should go where I've gone.
Tonight i won't come back,
to save you from the lost.

He dreams at the doorway,
without ever going in,
but no one should see what I've seen,
Tonight if you rely on me,
you will fall.

He breaks the sky from the ground,
Its where he looks for me,
but i won't be found.
Tonight i will learn to love you much better,
Someday i will make you mine.

But not tonight,
not tonight.

ITS A FLAME, NOT A LEAF.

(for those rather misinformed about the CJC crest)

Well as everyone has been harping about orientation and how lame/awesome/crappy/boring it was, CJCIANS HAVE BEEN HAVING A HELL OF A TIME. And no i'm not just saying that to promote my school.

We sure do have the kinkiest games. How many schools actually have games where girls put their legs around guys in one long row and have almost-scandalous-kisses um nevermind. Shall not soil our school's oh-so-wonderful reputation.

Some unforgettable orientation moments (cause i'm lazy to write everything down, like that.)

1. Seeing our IG facil called Moses (i kid you not.) prance around in his birthday suit as the love angel, commonly known as Cupid. Red wings sprouting out of his back and the very unrealistic eight-pack made it even more of a hoot.

2. Watching stephanie sharing a spagetti stick with some other dude, MOUTH-TO-MOUTH. by the way, it doesn't hurt to mention that the stick was about 5cm long. Hmmm.

3. Antagonizing Sarah G by sitting next to Eagle boy TWICE in a single week. Tis is fate.

4. Clocking this ah lian with my paddle after she called all the girls in my boat 'BITCHES' just because we won the dragon boat race. Up yours!

5. Having dance partners who have zero flexibility and two left feet. One of them actually slapped my face when we were supposed to go in the opposite direction.

6. Plunging my whole face into a plate of pink paint while playing PAINT TWISTER with my IG. It just involves a massive white sheet and plates of dye (that does not come out even after hours of scrubbing) in place of the coloured circles. Amusing.

7. Watching that stupid video about flying geese going Honk Honk Honk, and seeing the teachers trying not to laugh since it was supposed to be an 'educational' video.

8. Getting scolded by the stuffy old hag of a librarian. It was ironic because she actually yelled 'Can you all stop talking?!', so amy and I started laughing like mad. So we got kicked out. Boohoo.

9. By the way, made some awesome new friends like Amethyst, Tiara and Mosquito, because bizarre names are supposedly 'IN' right now.

10. Three girls dragged me to go join modern dance so hell, i just signed up for it and agreed to go for the audition. Who knows, maybe I'll ace it and become an international ballet dancer. Another observation: MODERN DANCERS ALL LOOK THE SAME. so i will defy the odds :D watch me.

Unfortunately, our facils neglected to bring a camera around, so there were no snapshots of us covered in mud/paint/dead fish. Just some random photos, credits to clare, the resident camwhore.

Yesterday Samster left to go to The Land Of Hot Surfers to study for um, five years...? Haha you can tell i haven't been keeping up with her. Infact i thought she left a month ago, until she invited all of us for her farewell bbq.

Anyway before we got to the sob-sob part, it was really fun to see everyone in different uniforms and talking about our orientations, but still manage to get along so well! Cause we're cool and awesome :D

We had 'reunion dinner' and milled around for about an hour till Sam left. It was pretty sad, and people were tearing and all that jazz. Its for the best i suppose. Just have to make a little bit more of an effort to keep in touch, and everything will be fine!

Yeap that aside. I'm so glad the whole drama on class transfers and combinations and stupid bald teachers IS OVER. Want to thank god for helping me through the week and helping me make all the right decisions! And mom who was actually willing to come all the way down to CJC to fight with brother paul. THANKS MOM.

Also, I love saying that i am now in 'College' and going for 'lectures'. Yes, it is a bit childish and i'm sure the novelty will wear off soon but for now... have fun everyone!

See ya'll in a bit.

Dancing with the smokescreen.

He said that i was special,
They said that i was different.
But this time,
we're cutting ties with the lies,
perhaps it was all a dream.

But it seemed all too real.
And make-believe doesn't make the cut,
Drifting on silver linings,
dancing on the greener grass,
Oh, what a dream.

Well fate has finally revealed itself. In the most up-to-date, technologically advanced way as possible.

Obviously, the biggest news that hit the newsstand this week was the posting of schools. On friday, got the first message from clarebear at about 630 telling me the aussome news: That she got into CJ! Whoopie. But then of course got the jitters because i didn't get any message, and the incoming messages, calls and mother prancing around room in sheer excitement. Freaked out for an hour before i finally got mine.

So when it came, i just felt relieved. Happy for the most part, but also a bit... bleh. HA! how vague i am with my words.

Anyway we went shopping for Ainsley's present at parkway on Saturday and looked who we bumped into.

Jenny Jennifer! If you look very closely we are flaring our nostrils to imitate the one and only.

Did some visiting/collecting ang pao moneh after that before rushing all the way back to the east for 'reunion dinner' with the usual bums. It was fun stuff! We played the most childish games. Like ahhem, musical chairs. Can't believe we are already seventeen this year, cause i seems we're stuck in the childhood days.

Can't wait till we meet up again which is FEBUARY 13TH aka the day before valentine's day. In town. Cause CJCians are par-tay animals like that.

<

Today at church and the mountain hike was feeling all weird. Its the first day of school jitters! I am so nervous i doubt i can sleep tonight. Don't know whether i'm feeling excited, apprehensive or just plain scared.

I guess i'll find out tomorrow, right? :)

Hope to report back with good news. See you guys in a bit!

There goes my hero, He's ordinary.

Ups and downs,
we are in for a ride
and love is our coaster.
Where are we going here?
Cause i don't seem to know.

So don't force a smile dear,
You know that
there are better days to come,
Put on that hat and we'll go to places,
Yes we'll go to places.

Hey all :) Really hoped everyone enjoyed the festive season(and also the long holidays for those currently in school!)

CNY has always been one heck of a party in my family because well, of the tons of relatives. While i do try my best not to be money-minded(but hell, who isn't?) this does equal to more of the moolah, so there! So we bear with the uncomfortable clothes and the awkward silences and the even worse relatives in exchange for a little pocket money. Simple enough system, aye?

This year wasn't much different, except with the fact that Grandma has been different ever since being hospitalized. And that affected the festive spirit alot, and its been difficult for everyone to deal with it as well. But with God's grace, i believe that he can heal Gran and help us overcome this together :)

Today out of sheer desperation, decided to go for a jog with Princess Justin. Was quite hilarious. Well it wasn't really a jog. More like alot of brisk walking and the occasional run in short bursts plus talking all sorts of nonsense.

Also, he tripped on a log five seconds after i said 'Hey, watch out for that log.'

Well, he's going to be heading back to aussie this friday so wish you best of luck! We better hang out more next time! See ya in April/July :)

Oh and on the very exciting list of what's happening on friday, POSTING OF SCHOOLS. Gack. Ah well i guess its about time i got off my lazy arse and actually do something other than sit in front of this lousy screen. Hell, the computer chair has my ass groove on it. And handwriting has been reduced to nothing more than mere chicken scratch after the lack of writing.

Goodnight all, have a swell week! :)

Circles.

You say the sweetest things,
And i can't keep my heart from singing,
along to the sound of your song,
my stupid feet keep moving

To this four-four beat,
I'm in time with you,
With this four-four beat
I would die for you.

(someone stop this...)

I've gone too far
To get back from here
But you don't have a clue,
You don't know what to do,
to me.

Won't someone stop this song,
So i won't sing along,
Can someone stop this song,
So i won't sing.

Paramore, Lovesick Melody.

Man i must have really been crazy to wake up at 7am today to do this ridiculous treetop hike/walk thing with the other mad mad mad people. I swear, they must be crazy about hiking because why else would they spend a perfectly good saturday morning walking 10clicks while we could be sleeping in?!

Simply COULD NOT get out of it because the whole world seemed to be at parkway(including Gen & a hella lot of SACians.) yesterday doing last minute new year shopping (as i was. oops.) and bumped into Mel. Who made me go.

So three hours later and a lot of sweat, i am proud to say I've seen nothing but trees. Oh and more trees.

Oh and see the monkeys getting jiggy with each other too. Although they were rather shy and stopped doing all that when we started pointing and hooting. My my, we're almost as barbaric as them.

So after all that jazz went to Nick's to shower and then jamming. It was pretty awful. Jen told me something about my voice and now i'm horrified. I NEVER REALISED and now i have to fix it fix it fix it.

_________________________________________

Thank god all the new year shopping is done. Well mostly. Didn't get much clothes this year because of the lack of time, mostly. Although all the new year food will assure my whole family has rolls on their tummy in a couple of weeks.

The strong wind is messing up all my post-its on the wall and making me depressed! Nothing messes with my post its!

Paramore's not coming to Singapore this year either. Meh.

Go on, make my day.

He believes he's raw passion,
and you can see it,
written in colours,
across the spans of his back.
He says I'm your tracing board,
and while he sleeps
i paint his features to life.

So goodnight,
Because i can't wait
to write him into my songs,
and to etch you in pastel pink.
Goodnight,
The artist comes to life.

Bonjour mes amis!

So on tuesday i finally got around to having some fun. And who best to hang out with but the usual bums! It was a shame i didn't get to hang out with them the last time (was at youth camp! now i remember.) but i bet this time was loads more fun :)

Of course Emilia had to bring the rockband set because she's emi and also very addicted to rockband(as we all were. well, sort off.) so we played rockband till dawn. Literally too. And all the crazy stuff like walking out to grab some mickey D's at five am in the morning and getting scared by some crazy man dancing around the tree.

Top moments include screaming in no pitch whatsoever singing to the old pop tunes, laughing at everyone's ass groove on the couch and knocking out on the cold cold floor at seven in the morning.

So much as it sounds lame, it was absolutely wicked and we all had a fantastic time. XP

A picture of a picture!

Nicole is mad. she tried to kill me!

Yeap so a perfect sleepover was ruined by this ridiculous glass fiasco. We were packing up and shifting back furniture when this glass piece slid off the table and broke. Well, broke is an understatement. More like, shattered into a million pieces. Anyway it was bloody ridiculous because it wasn't even attached to the table in any way. AT ALL.

They charged us 200bucks for it. can you imagine? We were all ready to murder that pompous ass of a man who totally ripped us off. But whatever, crap like that happens.

Slept for a couple of hours before heading off to nick's place. Well i won't say anything here because i can't. But Jennifer was showing her man-face around the table and looked like she was about to jump on someone. Ah she's mad like that. FINISH YOUR SENTENCES.

Need. to. go. new. year. shopping. NEED MORE MONEH. so broke right now that its not even funny.

Finished season 2 and the first ep of season 3 comes out today! Hot indian half-spanish boy (THERE SARAH, HAPPY NOW.) wheeeeeee. Cassie reminds of Stargirl. Waaaay too eccentric and stuff like that.

Soooo. Nothing else to say in this space, except. GOODNIGHT. Till next time.

Sign me up for the storm.

Enough of this incoherency,
It's the monologue man come to stay.
Are you afraid?
Cause he knows the lines,
and you're stuttering through the words,
tripping over the verses.

Oh doesn't he make you feel,
so inadequate?
At least he can show us the way,
with his marvelous say in words.
But doesn't he make you feel shy?

To say the truth out,
to the monologue man.

Oh bollocks.

I can't believe this but i. am. so. addicted. to. skins.

It is a low-class, low-budget, disgusting, substance-less, show. But it is also vair addictive.

I hate you Sarah G, for getting me into this series too much swearing and drugs and obscene bedsheets too much info! ahhem so yes. And i also hate sid for ditching cassie to go with that &%$#&@ Michelle dammit, but i digress. (But poor Cas!!!!)

Want to see hot indian boy in season three!

A couple of days i stood next to a bunch of shallow-minded creaturesah lians in the MRT and their conversation went something like that.

AL 1: Ohmigod. Did choo hear that new pawamoh song. What is it called ah??
AL 2: OH I KNOW. Uh... Decode right!
AL 3: I saw the video. That Ed-wad ah... he's so like, HAWT LAH.
AL 2: YAH LOH. and then he fly from tree to tree carrying Bellahh. Damn cool luh.
AL 3: Don't get me started on his hair okay. *siiigghhhh. proceeds on to touch extremely layered hair, with dreamy/faraway look in her blue-contacts filled eyes.
AL 1: I can't wait for the next movie to come out.... Twilight was already sooo good man!
AL 2: Me too. I really lubbed the New Eclipse book!

Um. New Eclipse?! If you're such a great fan of your oh-so-sexy-Robert-Pattison-whom-flits-from-oak-to-oak, at least bother to remember the name of the books.

And pawamoh?! what. an. insult.

Anyway, tomorrow's the chalet at Aranda. We're finally gonna order the merch! And do all sorts of nut-sy stuff! Which means i have to finish Skins Season 1 by tomorrow as well. or. i. will. die.

So that's life now. See ya in a bit! :)

The Electric Prunes save the day.

You were going so well,
writing out the stories all by yourself,
so i rewarded you with the back of my mind,
my oh so wondrous mind,
but what did you do?

_____________________________________

Hello midnight.

Results came out yesterday and of course it was a little more than dramatic. Putting that aside tho, it was a good time to catch up with people. Congrats to Janna (who i was was unfortunate enough to sit next to, since she had eight. bloody. points.), whose mom was less than enthusiastic when i phoned her.

Me: AUNTIE!! YOUR DAUGHTER JUST SCORED EIGHT POINTS! WHOOO
Janna: (half-sniffling because she's janna like that.) *sniff sniff... Did you just call my mother?
The Mother: Huh hello?! what's this? huh?

Hilarious. and congrats to everyone else who got the results they wanted. Especially clarebear, oh my sweet cows. Who got fifteen points. I swear the air was thick with flying pigs that day :) You punk.

I was kinda disappointed but thinking about it now, i just gotta thank god for my results and be happy. Cause god has a plan for all of us! So CJC with its extremely bad reputation, here i come! I guess i always had that soul-bond to catholic education institutions, even if they are all the way in um, toa payoh. Which is a totally different region to me, by the way. Thank god that people like Nicole, Liz, Sally, Emi and clare will be going there, so i won't feel like such a goosegog in my own school :) Thanks mom & all my friends for the support!

Today spent the day in church going over jazz rhythms and writing some riffs down with the lads and BOY was it frustrating. Its not easy at all. But i guess the best part was coming up with our new band name. OHMIGOD BOYS ARE SO SUCKY AT COMING UP WITH NAMES.

i came up with The Electric Prunes & JuiceBox & The Lalalas (as opposed to The Yeah Yeah Yeahs) & a whole bunch of other names but they all said it sucked! Instead Nick came up with the worst name in band-naming-dom. Here it comes.

MIKE STANDS AND GUITAR AMPS.

i kid you not. Srsly. Ditto the Nick-tons. Or Nightmare Cinema.

But now its pretty much between the Touchtones or Groove Boulevard (BO-RING, i know. The electric prunes rock so much more. but hell, a name does not make a band.)

Supper with Mel and jie ains at some ulu-place and it was fun :)

Anyway i just had one of those life-changing moments in my life because me and randi are going to see JASON MRAZ LIVE IN CONCERT ON MARCH FIFTH.

epic. I know. Hey he's no Paramore, but now we can see him sing smexily from the side of his mouth and wear fedora hats and all that jazz. Although the fact that he is doing that vair-gay-sticking-out-pinky-thing that Luki always does makes me pretty darn disturbed. None the less.

Now the only problem is raising 145 buckeroos without motherdear finding out. (money tree, why did you shrivel up and die last year, oh you were my only hope!)

waking up tomorrow at the crack of dawn to go to Nick's house for goodness knows what. Well, noon, but its EARLY.
