Life is a Highway,

I won't ride it all night long.

_______________________________________

The long weekend has been... unexpected.

So yesterday's night-cycling trip across Singapore was an absolute flop because of a series of unfortunate events. In short, i fell again, got sent to an A&E at CGH and freaked out about the damned tetanus shot. A rather eventful three hours, wherein we only got as far as Tampines! A night ruined caused of the accident-prone! Apologies everyone.

Thus, it is no surprise that I am banned from Lady Gaga's concert on Wednesday. A pity, since the ticket coupled with all that shopping cost more than 150dollars. Damn.

Also, if it took a massive nurse and a double injection (the first needle broke cause I was too 'tense' DUH.) for one teeeny shot, how am I going to stand the sight of blood being drawn from my very veins during CJC's blood donation drive? Some reconsidering is in order.

So, these are the better times of the week.

Guinness book of records. BAH. The things we do for the school.

FUN WITH BALLOONS.
Ruizhi turned into a she-man.

Dayna's idea. we all need to have fun!

C2 owes me gum!

It was supposed to be George! (the father, not the child.)

maxipad and nick.
Kieran's toy for the whole hour we were blowing up the balloons. He is rather useless, and very easily amused.

This is just plain scary.
Must have a shot of ZY. i waved at him from the third level and 1t07's very own parade commander didn't bother waving back! What cheek!

May's stupid idea. Good job may, you were uber cool!

I want one of those.

Was supposed to go out with the three bozos (ken leon and nick) and suat, but the lads were indecisive fools. I say it as nicely as possible, since Kenneth declares we are all 'family', but sheesh!

Had music ministry dinner at night, another memorable hike up mount sophia (?).

Sunday was national day, saw red the entire day, and had the celebration at Gran's. Mom was being dead embrassing and the whole family sang the national anthem so loudy (and so off-key) that the neighbours closed all their balcony windows and the front porch was devoid of any people. Sigh. Its like that every year.

So now the week's plans are ruined. All because of the ragged scar on my right foot. Damn! Night study won't match up to hip-hop concerts, but its all for the greater good. Right?

Early Morning Ramblings

Me: ARGH there is never any damned toilet paper in toilets! Especially in the morning!
Amethyst: Nehmind Stace, just shake dry!
Me: o_o

Me: Max, can i ask you a question?
Max: (*sees look on my face) What? Spit it out before you burst.
Me: Do guys um, shake dry?
Max: You mean like, after we pee?
Me: (*quite uncomfortable and surprised by this point of time) You mean you're familiar with the term 'shake dry'?!
Max: There's alot of things you don't know about guys. Like how rarely we use toilet paper.

Holy canoli. How naive can I get?! Please tell me that Max doesn't speak for the entire male population. I am, as of now, shocked and rather disgusted.

Just another day in the life of yours truly, bite-size.

P.S. your postcard arrived in the mail last night Liz. The one with the union jack splashed across it (how very un-typical) but it was a lovely surprise. You came back before it did, tho! Tell me your add again and we shall continue our oh-so-irregular letter writing :D

Chasing my dreams with a coke and a smile

White circles on the wall,
dark stars on the ceiling.
Somehow I can't seem to dream in colour,
without you around.

Monday blues. The rest of the week is not looking promising. Why I was ever stupid/insane/retarded to take up H2 math, I do not know.

Although Dayna's nonsense and her sudden-morphing into a lesbian (other people kiss, and i tell. Tiara got two pecks on the cheek from the Perv!) was rather amusing. Empty threats of raping or peeing all over yours truly will not faze me. HAHA.

We also won Oliver's team today at Handball. Hoorah for the awesome team comprising of ZY, Amos, Nicholas, Kai, Dayna, Suat! I promised i would say something in ode of Suat Ning, who proved to be our team's secret weapon with all the spot-on goals! YOU ROCK C2. and please bring more sweets tomorrow.

I abhor having to stay back till six thirty everyday for Music Ministry practice in preparation for national day mass on Friday! I'm not even Catholic. Okay yes, I'm a lazy lout of a leader, who has to be dragged to MM meetings by the president, but at least I'm not a tosser like Nick The Guitarist. Swearing in the prayer room! I will not be surprised if lightning strikes down on him or the floor opens up and swallows him.

9 more days to lady gaga. God knows I need a break.

Let's Dance to Joy Division!

Out of the water he came,
and beauty became salt of my sadness.
I set out to master the art of passion,
but i found you instead.

It was a coloured world,
at least for a little bit,
we breathed out
the violets and reds and the yellows,
fiery feelings,
filling the concrete pavements.
This is our spring,
at least for the summer.

Time is the enemy this week. Sleeping has become a luxury!

As things go when you don't update online sites (which ought to be updated regularly but due to unforeseen circumstances such as school and anniversary dinners and Harry Potter movies and PW-induced headaches, they often well, don't.), we consult the common way of blogging. That is, The List.

1. Harry Potter & the Half-Blood Prince

Popcorn has become the staple diet, these past two weeks. I've gone to the movies four times, and all to watch the same flick (YES okay it did take out a chunk out of my pocket, but still.) Well it wasn't as epic as expected but it redeemed itself with the brief appearances of Cormac Mclaggan doing smexy things like licking his fingers and looking all suave on a broomstick

Ginny is an old box-faced git. And now i do agree with Tiara, Seamus can be a bit of tosser with his awful accent.

Watched it first with Yiwen and Tiara after two basktball matches last wednesday, watched it argain on friday with C2, Kai and the rest of the gang. Suat ning was spazzing when she say Tom Felton, sigh. Never again.

2. Big Gob reaches epitome of annoyance. Go screw yourself, enough said. (are you with me, friends!)

3. LIVERPOOL COMES TO SINGAPORE.

okay so i was rather pissed off that Dad didn't manage to score tickets for the match last Sunday, but Friday's velocity trip made up for it. FANTASTIC STUFF. Sarah left with Zac earlier and so i was left to find this anonymous person 'Sophia', hop into a cab with her and go! Kenneth was being a prick and taking his own sweet time to eat YTF(!) so with no other option, spent 10 minutes trying to contact my mysterious escort. She turned out to be really nice and turns out she's patti's friend and i've met her before!

Hopped into the called cab with Jen and Eugene and off we went to see the best English club in the history of the world.I live up to my old email. Liverpoolrox10@hotmail.com FTW.

It was in short, absolutely epic. Hundreds of maniacs screaming, clad in red and white and black but mostly in red. Some mental guy had tattoos carved into every inch of his skin in tribute to Liverpool! Zac got filmed for singing an improvised version of the Beatles 'Yellow Submarine', with changed lyrics of course. Rather exciting.

So we were all under the impression that only Jamie Carragher was turning up for the session but when they announced Torres was making a surprise appearance... everyone went wild. Wilder than we already were. I mean seriously, besides the fact that he is an excellent footie player, he has the added bonus of being gorgeous.

At the press conference itself.

Poor jamie got outshined by his teammie. And poor-er old man who got trampled on by the red mob, when all he wanted to do was get into Velocity. Sophia was clawing like a frenzied cat, at the car which the two players arrived in! HAHA. Singapore fans are fanatics.

Good experience. Too bad i couldn't see the Singapore team get thrashed silly by them.

Alonso better not leave D:

4. BRACES = off!

Retainers hurt. hella lot. Had to wrestle with Dr. Yang cause he was clamping down on my retainers too roughly. He won, of course, and now my mouth is sore ow ow ow

5. NLCC 20th year anniversary

Quite rad. Although SICC turned out to be a little ratty with a too-teeny stage, the celebratins went well :D Of course, everyone was dressed to the nines, and it nice to see all the boys in shirts and ties. Good change from the baggy tees and what not.

I hate aunty yu ming's dress codes/ideas stockings. She also had this fantastic idea of having a personal photoshoot at the lobby for our band, which was HILARIOUS. Cause she was throwing all sorts of crazy ideas and positions and facial expressions at us. Looked at how some of the not-so-fantastic shots turned out!

Mel's hypnotic stare.

aunty yu ming says: STOP SMILING GUYS!

Lucy spazzing and nick's eyes becoming twice the usual size.

After about a billion shots, Aunty Yu ming found the next two satisfactory, and we were released!

AYM: Gossip girl! You guys look like you're from a GG shoot!

The night and its unglam photos.

Lum/Lam?!
PRICELESS. Jennifer's face cracks me up.

There is a particular one with me that looks like i've shoved two chopsticks up my nose but it is only an ILLUSION. Still, since its a very convincing one, it will not be put up :D

Nicely-taken ones.

Maroon bowtie: Courtesy of Mel and yours truly's fashion consultation.

totally spies out to totally save the world!
Sarah my sister who looks BALD.

Black shirts and red ties

And so it ended. Here's to many more years to come!

6. MUSIC from stiff-upper-lip land

Although I know its pretty bad to classify music by its regions, but I've been definitely hooked on English Indie bands recently. Kudos to Sarah G who gave the excellent recommendation of 'Passion Pit' (she caught them live in London! MEH!).

Other bands include The Wombats, Joy Division, Jamie T and of course, the Kooks! Brilliant record.

I was quite offended when Will/Bill said that English bands sounded like rubbish. TSSSK. Listen to them, everyone! Not all of us have peephole horizons :)

7. School and Such

The workload has been mighty crazy. As if the timetable isn't enough to KILL us, ms yoong piles up the endless math tutorials and the thought of a Lit PC essay due is not appealing. Of course, there's the ever-present, nagging tug concerning PW. My EOM is of now, absolutely crap. And submission's on Monday! Nevermind, i have my best friend HH to help me battle against J.O.

Kai and C2 also shifted to the back of class and i miss them D:

Clarebear got the secretary position in Editorial and her first assignment is to buy eclairs (ECLARES how apt) for our editorial 'party' next week. Hurrah.

8. A Frenzied Friday. baking, BBQs and late-night jam sessions

TGIF doesn't apply, when you're rushing around singapore on four hours of sleep. C2 ditched me after school but when i went to Island Creamery, Lee was there! A pleasant surprise. Trudged to Jen's house after that to do some baking for goodness knows what. Sick of the smell of cookie dough and the Lee Family's uncontrollable mutt called Rusty.

BBQ at nicole's place! Thrown in ode to Victoria, who got accepted to New York University recently and came back for a holiday. Obviously, there was not enough food and someone forgot to get carbs, but the laughter made up for it.

Headed to pat's, who recently soundproofed his room/evolving studio. Still, it was still too late to do anything but try a few acoustics. Guess we all know where we'll be hanging out more now!

9. Linguistics Symposium

School on a saturday sounds like the worst thing in the world. But it turned out to be enriching and included lots of information about journalism. Although i don't see how it can help us in ELL papers. KW was taking notes like the world was about to end.

The refreshments were DE-LISH. After being reasonably well-behaved all morning, its safe to say we disgraced outselves by stuffing our faces. HA!

10. Stoked! about Lady Gaga

Yiwen and her funny ideas. Fishnet stockings and a neon dress?! I'll sooner jump off a cliff. But it should be mighty fun. Ten days to go before the epic gig!

I almost became the owner of a cat today D:

The effect of the two cokes i had earlier is running out. Till next time, au revoir!

Teach me the games you play so well

So three days ago, i said i couldn't wait to go back to school. SCRATCH THAT.

The work is absolutely crazy. Mrs Yoong is, not surprisingly, on my back for numerous teeny things again and cracking the worst jokes in class. 'Time flies when you're having fun!', she says when the bell rings to signal the end of a tutorial/lecture. Seriously, who is she kidding?!

Although I am quite stoked about tomorrow's basketball match. Our team comprises of yiwen, tiara, me, kieran and kenneth. Hopefully the guys remember to practise the dance routine to 'Getcha head in the game', which we are so going to do tomorrow during half-time to wow the audience. HAHA.

I AM SO CRUSHING ON EMMA WATSON'S YOUNGER BROTHER NOW.

thank your lucky cows that Lizzles (amazingly) found the video wherein he's trailing his older sister around the (London?) premiere of The Half-Blood Prince.

ABSOLUTELY-HOT-POTATO-JACKET-HOT-IN-A-LEATHER-JACKET-AND-SMEXY-HAIR-HOT-HOT-HOT. Like a mix between ulliel and Aaron Johnson

Good looks run in the family, apparently. Tis' not fair.

Anyway you should head over to lizzie's moofings.blogspot.com to check out her video with him at the premier, cause this photo doesn't do him justice. Kudos to the girl who shouted 'YOUR BROTHER IS SEXY' really loudly like a gazillion times.

HP AND THE HBP finally, this friday. No more swine flu or dental appointments to stop us from going! Its been all we could talk about. Just discovered that 99% of guys have a major crush on emma watson.

Me: Kieran, choose a HP girl. Hermione or-
Kieran: Hermione.
Me: WAIT! Hermione of Gin-
Kieran: Hermione.
Me: I haven't finished asking yet!
Amos (*being kaypo, interjects.): Hermione is damn hot lah, please.
Kieran: xxxx(expletive) hot.
Me & Tiara: sheeeesh.

Speaking of hot guys, mozzie was extremely embarrasing when we were sitting together with two random guys during break, and the Sex God happened to stroll by and chat with those random guys (THANK YOU.) Yiwen was the uncoolest ever. I think she actually snorted a few times from the hysterical, fit-like laughter. TRY TO BE COOL NEXT TIME, YIWEN.

Back to doing my stupid math F.A. Thanks a bunch, mrs yoong.

The restless heart syndrome.

The world's gone mexican!

Well these days, there's no other way to put it.

I feel like michael jackson before he passed.

four dosages a day, plus the occasional panadol. and about a zillion lozenges.

Anyway, while people have been toiling in school and what not (half of my class is infected. TOLD YOU, MOE.), home has been dead boring. Really. I have been reduced to nothing but a very skilled couch potato. Even You Me At Six's record, courtesy of patrick's credit card and fueled by ramen, couldn't stop the misery from setting in.

Besides, I've heard the mid-years are back to haunt us in the form of dreaded results. Been receiving messages all day about mine and I'm quite stricken. I did pass chinese tho. Lao shi called to tell me herself, as if absolutely shocked by the outcome! Wow wee, thanks, Lao shi :D C2 again reminded me that it was under her tutelage that I passed... tsk, Modesty!

Oh one more thing.

So lonely was the Ballad.

You can say that again.

Well I've always greeted Fridays with joy. Okay that's the understatement of the year. If Fridays were a football team i would be the crazed-fan-yelling-'TGIF'-in-the-stands-and-sporting-a-massive-flag. Besides THIS Friday was significant, since it was the date that I could pry the torture device off my upper teeth (yes. Its called braces.)

Things did not go according to plan.

So headed to my orthodontist at Shenton House, stoked that it was the end of my suffering. Of course, things weren't looking too good when i peeked into the unit and saw fallen debris and several construction workers peering back at me. Called them and the snotty orthodontist assistant (whom, come to think of it, I've always disliked.) told me that they have shifted and didn't we text you to come to Golden Shoe Carpark instead? Oh yeah, i got the text, and that's why I'm hovering outside an ex-dental clinic.

Extremely pissed off, so apologies to everyone who got a bit of my text rant during that time. Fumed all the way home. Started to feel a tad sick so i slept after a shower.

Woke up with a 38.5 degree fever.

So the weekend has been rushed doctor appointments, cold showers and hacking coughs. I thought i was the only one who had been suffering the whole week till i heard from C2 that nick, ruizi and maxipad also got the flu! See, the results of not extending school holidays.

I just wish i hadn't got it RIGHT before the weekend tho D: Missed the recording session on friday night and so the time capsule contains half-baked snippets of our tracks. Apologies to our band! Also managed to miss the whole event of the time capsule, lifenet, and jen's manga art convention thing (athough i heard it went superbly! congrats.)

So in short, becareful what you wish for.

Thank god for my awesome but really stupid friends who decided to drop by my place to pass me the following death presents.

Offerings of Island Creamery's finest and a sunflower (how did they get a sunflower at 11pm!?!) It was sweet. I meant their actions, not the ice-cream since i haven't even tasted it yet. It's kinda funny cause i was at the doorstep and everyone was standing a two-metre radius away. Alex also got a scolding from Aunty Stella for going near a 'diseased' person.

So this is what having leprosy feels like.

Tomorrow's schedule?

Sleep alot, read a lot, watch alot of movies, mooch around and be sad. Hopefully all of us will get cured off the bug soon, be it h1n1 or not. Night everyone!

Yes Virginia, No virginia.

This is a song for you
but i need you to close your eyes.
Sometimes you make everything
make sense when it doesn't need to be.

So as i said,
This is a song
from the last of the small-town musicians.
I give you my heart in my hands,
take it.
but you leave none.

Pieces of me,
You and I,
will always be unfinished business.

Well hello.

Today during class, i drafted out my letter to Santa Claus. Which resulted in a lot of laughing from me and mozzie. We got our first term 3 indirect-scolding from Ms Chua! Ah how i miss it.

Anyway don't ask me why I'm drafting out the letter to Santa in July. The Christmas spirit is alive! Mozzie says she's never really celebrated Christmas before and I was beyond shocked. Thus, it is our job to introduce her to the traditions of Santa-letter-writing and presents and too much honey-baked ham.

So here's the letter.

Dearest Santa,

Greetings from Singapore! This year, I'm writing with two other great friends of mine, Yiwen and Amethyst (but you can just call us the three musketeers). Its a bit mad to be drafting a letter in July, but I think Yiwen needs alot of practise. Thus, the necessity to start teaching the art of Christmas letter-writing starts now!

Of course, we have been marvellously good girls this year(Well, so far. Six months is an awfully long time), which i understand is some minimal criteria we must meet in order to um, ask gracefully for gifts. I sincerely hope that instead of merely sending a computer-generated letter back from the North Pole, we actually get what we ask for.

We ask for good promotional grades (okay so maybe we're a bit old for this. But whatever.) so we can all spend another year cramming our face off next year together and graduate into successful lives, whatever that means. Of course, in the name of good morals, we wish for world peace, an end to all civil unrest in Israel and here's to no more world hunger.

Oh. It wouldn't hurt to throw in a billion dollars. Of course being the experienced and frequent letter writer that i am, i get the 50% cut, yes?

Anyway, have a pleasant July-December!

Love,
Athos, Porthos and Aramis

SNAZZY, yes?

So Tiara might have H1N1 and i hugged her yesterday and we also agreed to get married/merit but that is another matter altogether. YAY! Matthias, a J2 counsellor also got it, so CJC is officially infected.

All i can say is: ABOUT TIME.

Chinese orals was pleeeeh. Although i HAVE to thank my cube sister for being such an awesome chinese tutor. You have trained me to reasonable standard my friend.

Now, off to listen to some Jamie T and Coldplay's Prospekt's March (thanks to Mr. Nick Glascow for supplying the EP). I have to call Claudia.

Plastic Hearts (No not BLG but DPTs :D)

He left me in bedspreads
Tell me how I'm supposed to go on,
Sparse bedsides,
and a hole in my heart.
Still i dream in heist.

__________________________________________________

Currently inspired by my well-thumbed copy of Sunshine (Robin Mckinley) and a re-reading of Audrey Niffenegger's 'Time Traveller's Wife'.

I'm in love with Constantine and Henry Detamble respectfully, though they are rather bad choices as the resident heroine's love interest. Since one is a vampire whose skin is (apparently) the colour of old mushrooms and quite ugly, and the other time travels unpredictably. No matter. As if my boring life will ever come across such exciting instances.

After exam period has been heavy with a myraid of expensive dinners at expensive places, late-night simpang bedok suppers and waaay too many music practices.

So Jen-fer came up with this brilliant idea of recording an EP encompassing some christian, secular and jazz numbers to put into NLCC's decade-old time capsule (That is another story altogether but we've got time. Apparently we buried a time capsule in Pastor William's backyard in 1999 with all sorts of crap innit that i cant remember and we're opening it up for 20th year anniversary. And so we have to put in new stuff. Thus, the record to signify the birth of the youth band and the years of change :D Symbolic, i know.) The adrenaline rush has been crazy.

Eventually it boiled down to a remix of break free which sounds pretty darn awesome, i must say, this beatles song 'With a little help from my friends' and a self-written jazz piece that is yet to be named! Quite exciting.

Although we shouldn't be taking too many pictures during practise and actually, you know. PRACTISE.

Nick straddling two guitars while i operate the camera, Jen having a bug-eyed moment and lucy - well i don't know what lucy's doing.

whooo cool shot blocked by someone's hand. phfft.

not-so-cool.

we were trying to give the image of 'casual walking' but it didnt work.
Pathetic, yes.

Today was the first official day of school and it sucked. So much work and i'm like 'are you kidding'.

Me: Yiwen you look so different today! you look hawwwt *winks
Amy: Uh huh totally! did you cut your hair?
Yiwen: Oh thanks! But i didnt change anything!
Amy: Oh well you look nice.
Yiwen: OH. I CHANGED MY SHAMPOO.

Love the three musketeers. D'artagan ftw.
Tomorrow is Chinese Orals and i don't feel quite sane. Missed dinner to go home and 'cram' for A-levels and of course i didn't. Well i probably should feel motivated by the promise of my useless chinese mentor C2 treating me to sushi if i pass, but AH HECK.

Playlist of the week include some of the Indigo Girls (power of two), Anberlin (Amsterdam) and some old Flaming Lips numbers. And of course, Michael Jackson.

Midnight! Someone screwed up my internal clock. Goodnight all!

Big hearts, big hearts are for breaking

Love's too easy
so we make it into a game.

Fling your affections out
of the window now,
sell your heart on street corners,
You know what they say.
Big hearts,
yes your big heart
is for breaking.

i should really have joined the circus.

Let's see. No talent in studying, nada attention span and who am i kidding about how awesome i am in math? Besides, you get free bicycle rides in circuses. Lest free rides balancing a plate on a stick on your teeth.

Ramble!

TIS' THE NEW MONTH! (here's some old news.)

1. Obviously ya'll know about the MOE not extending school holidays. After all the hype with the eastsiders at starbucks the other day, was gobsmacked upon hearing the news on telly. HELLO, is the 200+ new cases not big enough a clue that something else must be done besides temperature taking?

2. Was literally dying the day before literature papers, and went to claud's place in desperate need of good music and rest. What can i say? 'I get by with a little help from my friends' - The Beatles. Thanks Clauds!

3. Unfortunately, that was also the day wherein Tiara texted to tell me that Michael Jackson had passed. He was one of those guys who everyone thought would live forever (and of all the things to die off.) So in tribute to the greatest pop icon who ever lived (in this generation, as least), my family and I spent two hours watching old music videos and docummentaries of him. Which resulted in my addiction to songs like 'Smooth criminal' and 'The way you make me feel'.

R.I.P MJ!

4. Toiling in my own jealousy (brownie points for those who get W.I.L reference!) the whole of last weekend cause Sarah G. got to go all the way London to catch the Kooks and Kings of Leon live in Hyde Park. The taunting text DID NOT help

5. Our social in Botanic Gardens (last last week?!) playing frisbee and captain's ball. Needless to say, the girls sat at the sidelines and the boys played. And the girls who did play (the cool ones like faith and i) never got the frisbee/ball. Le sigh. It always ends like this!

6. Watched the Green Mile. EPIC MOVIE. John Coffey is tres adorable. and so is mr. Jingles!

7. Went to a flea market with Jen-fer (TWAAAAT) on saturday after the literature paper, going to P.S. with no idea where it was. Two people with bad sense of direction should not trust another person's words about non-existant shuttle buses. Anyhoos, after half-an-hour of trampling around Old School, discovered the place.

It was like. bleh. Alot of the stores were mass-ordered/produced from HK or Taiwan or goodness knows where. The whole warehouse (effing hot and mind you, i was in uniform) resembled a compact version of Bugis Street.

Tell me, what happened to the Elvis Costello and Goo Goo Dolls records? Beat-up Taylor Acoustics and penny-bracelets? Gone. The orange and black vespas outside were the only interesting things :D

Met Clare and a bunch of old Sacians. Clare was relegated to maid of the day and was commanded to buy food for the rest of the store-owners, so we three HIKED down Mt. Sophia where aunt carol picked us up for music practise.

A day of short-fueled-tempers and not-so-surprising-birthday-cakes.

8. Lunch at 'A pinch of salt'!

'Frankly, i prefer pepper.' - Alexis

The food sucked. Fun company. Beatrice had beat-rice (risotto). NO ONE HEARD MY HILARIOUS JOKE.

Need a good picture with bex soon! She's leaving tomorrow (phhhooo you. and the day before my exams, they have dinner together. what is this?!)

9. MATH PAPER = joke + utter depression.

Laugh or cry? You decide

10. We are going to Genting! We are going to start basking!

Luki came up with all the weird ideas of where to go at the end of the year and we downgraded from japan to genting (FOR NOW.) Being mature and independent youths, the idea is to get the moolah needed from the one thing we actually like to do: music!

I am looking forward to it :D The electric prunes/Key-of-H/Homeschooled makes our debut!

It is late and i need to wake up early to cram linguistics tomorrow. Goodnight all!
