Hello, its been a while

Wow, these thoughts in my mind are just bouncing all over the place.

Is this listlessness? Sometimes I wonder.

Crossing the Rubicon

I think,
sometimes we think too much,
think too much of ourselves.

Well it's time to get over yourself dear,
these songs aren't written for you,
Your mind's on overdrive
and it's bringing everybody down.

You have no idea how much I've missed Skins. Don't you wish fabulous drama series could go on forever?

Well at least for ten glorious weeks, I've got something to look forward to every week.

Didn't go to school today, caught an unfortunate bout of, well... nevermind.

All you need to know is that the whole day was spent watching the Grammys (So-so. Dave Matthews Band was awesome. And honestly, there is nothing Lady Gaga can do now to shock the world. Although a piano with severed limbs sticking out of it comes pretty close), trying desperately to catch up with late CSE readings, and listening to Orianthi's newest album. To say the least, I am inspired!

CSE test tomorrow. Mein gott! Buckle up, its going to be one long week.

but then I just smile

How do we name the days?
What people do with the minutes,
I do with memories.

Train station in the early evening,
we are drowning in sweet nostalgia here, honey,
Frankly,
I'm getting tired of living
in yesterday.

So I hit the ground now,
I've been living up there for too long
and the night's getting gray.

I'm sorry for not updating this space more than I should. Suat told me I should be more like Kai, who painstakingly finds something to blog-worthy everyday. Me, I forget things as soon as they come along.

Live in the moment, I always say.

So, photos. (in chronological order!)

spot the boo-boo D:
Some band pictures!

three cheers for being absolutely spontaneous.

Who said a band with three guitarists can't rock out?

awww kieran. We will miss him when he goes for rehabilitation the operation

overexposed shot: originally supposed to be some roadside ice-cream shop. It was actually super frustrating/worrying that the film didn't come out the first time I took it, but I guess it turned out for the best.
shaved ice selling like hotcakes. Oh, the irony.

one of the best bands. ever.
late-night tea times.

Another highlight of the week was creating the most legendary group to ever enter facebook. This occurred somehow when we were talking about skins season 4 (PHOTO POST SOON) and it evolved into this>

116 members and counting. Watch out for us.

And stop using our page to advertise your lame fish group, alex(is)!

Yesterday went out for a number of music practices and a rather unexpected picnic. No comment. 'Cept, Leon's 'suspenders and AH-HEM' joke is probably etched into my memory forever! Hilarious stuff.

Midnight. Urgh, so not looking forward to school tomorrow for a variety of reasons. Unfinished homework and unfinished business. Wow this is annoying.

So goodnight guys, and here's to the next beckoning weekend!

And in that moment,

I really think that everyone should have watercolors, magnetic poetry, and a harmonica.

Snap!

A polaroid for everyday starting from tomorrow. A tiny project to make the passing of mundane days a little more interesting.

Our rockefella audition is pushed up till tomorrow, horrors of horrors. So that means I will have to haul the heavy semi-acoustic and all the effects pedals to school for a fifteen minute jam session. Hopefully it will all be worth it.

I promise there will be more pictures up soon :) I've taken a ton but the flesh is oh-so-weak.

I smell cookies.

Mushaboom, shaboom, shaboom.

Sometimes I think I was born backwards, you know, come out my mum the wrong way. I hear words come pass me backwards. The people I should love, I hate. And the people I hate…”

Say what you need to say,

It was over before it began,
the sky is turning darker
the things we left behind
are not getting any better

So now I'll remember
when the days used to be sweet like sunshine.

As Mr Farhi called as shallow-minded people (recall a certain braincell-numbing GP lesson?) for not jotting down or daily rambles, here's what happened in the past week of school.

Open house was crazy. I know MM hasn't exactly been the most dedicated or punctual or methodical, but open house jamming was absolutely spiffay. Hello, switchfoot and paramore ditties. The two performances weren't brilliant or anything, but we got by.

Nick Loo and his lack of vocal chords never fail to receive a chorus of 'SHUT UP' from all of us. Hilarious times.

oh and the most adorable kid walked by and got soooo obsessed with the guitar! One of the teacher's, i think.

Awww he actually cried when we took the guitar away to pack D:

Shaved ice with Rach & Clare afterrr! It was icy-heaven.

Lucy's 23rd birthday celebration on wednesday, at this aussome jap restaurant we stumbled upon a while back. happy birthday lucy! Look 16yrs old forever!

And on Thursday, Mandy Moose & Tiara flew off to Paris a.k.a. land-of-sexy-accents-agogo-land, and left yours truly's sad butt behind. It is a major suckfest whilst you are mooching around school and dragging yourself up from bed at 6am every morning, your mates are out dining alfresco and wearing berets and meeting hot french lads. Well, we deal.

Besides the week of late nights and even later nights, we're all gearing up for CJ's annual Rockefella concert auditions. It's crazy how auditions are next week. Besides Rockefella, there's always the

For some reason, jamming today is fixed from 9pm till the next morning, so hello angry neighbours of azriel's/pris'.

Have a good first weekend everyone!

sorry

Nothing you can sing that can't be sung, well it's easy

They weep for another day,
a statement of gross exaggeration,
Under the parlor
the burlesque will hide
In the corners of your dark dark mind

Velvet lights will take over,
what a travesty this has become.
The musical breakdown takes cover,
but it will lead them to where
they must go,
the lovers.

First day of school. Awwww. It was pretty fun.

New Class. New seating arrangement (*cough). New form teacher. New trés terrible timetable.

Still, there's always the same ol' lovely people, same ol' canteen food and same ol' bitchfests. Today was scandalous to say in the least, thanks Rach.

So tomorrow's open house! Hope to see you there and don't laugh if our performance sucks

Na na na na na na na naaaa!

This is awesomeness in the form of a chart.

So, today was nice but not so nice.

I had no idea my mom, aunty anna, vanessa and mel (well actually i knew she was) were so bitchygossipy!

I suddenly feel like watching a musical, but then again I always feel like watching musicals. 'Chicago' is finally finally coming to singapore thise year AND LIZZEH IF WE DO NOT GET OUR STUDENT PRICED TICKETS SOON WE WILL REGRET IT LIKE HOW WE REGRETTED YYYs D: and here's to 'Wicked' coming our way. Soon.

Currently plugged into Gallows' 'Grey Britain' record and Modest Mouse' 'No One's first & You're Next'! I'm sorry but I have a soft spot for brilliant brit bands.

So 'night! Have a good one :)

In the heart of Paris

Love my Glee boys.

Is it weird that I'm getting all nervous for school's reopening? Sure, we all know its a drag (hello crappy timetable) but that's never bothered me too much. Maybe its other things. On my mind.

Of course, there's always the undone math homework and the mental image of Ms Yoong that would make anyone shiver.

Well, enjoy the breath of fresh air while we can! See ya'll next week :)
